Jamaster A, currently resident of Vancouver, is the first Asian producer who has created a brand new style of dance music called "Oriental Trance". It combines the proven uplifting feel of Euphonic trance music with the traditional Oriental instrument the "Zeng" creating a truly new and original sound.

In 2007, DJ Tiesto (World No.1 DJ) gave his full support to play “Jamaster A- Bells Of Tiananmen (Airbase Remix)“ in his radio show “Dance Department/Sunshine Live-Radio Broadcast”, featured Jamaster A in his “Element Of Live” Tour and over 20 gigs in his World Tour.
Armin Van Buuren (World No.1 DJ) featured this song in “A State of Trance #287 /288”. Sander Van Doorn featured the song in the world biggest dance event “Sensation White”& “WMC-Global DJ Broardcast”, Trance Energy 2007 and Trance X-plosion. “Bell of Tiananmen” was also supported by Marco V, Cosmic Gate, Garath Emery, Tillmann Uhrmacher, Ernesto vs Bastian, Johan Gielen, Graham Gold, Kyau vs Albert and more. Holland biggest dance label “Spinnin’ Records” released “Bells of Tiananmen (Airbase mix)” in Europe March 2007.

The song reached No.1 in the UK on Audiojelly.com and made it to the Top 10 on Trackitdown.net & Beatport.com, Juno Records, 4djonly.com and made it to the UK DMC Dance Chart No.3 in March 2007. International magazine IDJ magazine reviewed the song.
In September 2008, ”Jamaster A -Cicada” (released by Spinnin’ Records) featured in world No.1 DJ Armin Van Buuren’s “A State Of Trance #369” and BBC Radio 1 “Judge Jules & Dave Pearce-Dance Anthem”. The song made it to the Top 10 in Dave Pearce’s official chart in BBC and made it to the Top 11 in Dutch Dance Chart.

In August 2009, song “Shanghai 69” (released by Spinnin’ Records) was remixed by Joop & Maarten De Jong. The song was given DJ support from the likes of Armin Van Buuren / Paul Van Dyk /Andy Moor / Ferry Corsten / Marcel Woods / Judge Jules and more. The song was celebrated in various charts and came in as a No.5 position in the DMC Dance Mix Chart, No.17 in the Trackitdown Trance Chart and made the Top 50 in Beatport Top 100.

In Sept 2009, Jamaster A released the song “Let’s Groove” and this track, remixed by world top 100 DJ Mike Koglin, has reached the Top 10 in the German Dance-Tune and the 12” vinyl has reached No.1 in the Europe DJ-Shop. The song was also featured in Judge Jules-Global Warn Up.

In Oct 2009, Jamaster A became the first Asian DJ to perform at Ministry Of Sound (The Gallery) with world Top 100 DJ's Judge Jules, Richard Durrand and Thrillseekers. The show was so successful that he was booked for the following year as well.

No stranger to crossing new musical frontiers, Jamaster A has tried many different aspects of music production in his nearly 15 year career as a professional music producer/composer and has numerous remix credits to his name in Asia. He has produced over hundreds of albums (released in Asia). With his feet firmly planted in the studio, he has produced and remixed different tracks for a lot of top Asian artists including Andy LauTak-Wah, Sandy Lam, Jacky Cheung, Grasshopper and more. Jamaster A has remixed tracks by high profile acts like Japanese superstars Namie Amuro and Tetsuya Komuro, which have reached a No.2 position in the Oricon single chart and sold a million copies in Japan alone.
